Point of sale · Australia

Your internet will drop. Your till shouldn’t.

SmartAI POS completes a full sale with no connection — card, cash, split bills, receipts — then syncs the moment it’s back. Built for cafés, restaurants and shops that can’t stop trading.

20 minutes, on your own menu. No card, no contract. <<CONFIRM demo length>>

Works offline

A full sale, not a cached menu

One system

Counter, kitchen, stock, staff and reporting

Nothing gated

Sales, refunds, receipts and offline on every plan

The difference

What happens when the line goes down?

Most tills call it offline mode and mean a read-only menu. SmartAI POS takes the sale: items, modifiers, splits, discount, tender, receipt.

The order sits in a queue with an idempotency key, so when the connection returns it syncs once — never twice, never half.

  • Cash and card both complete; card falls back to manual entry if the terminal can’t be reached
  • Plan permissions cache and fail open — a network blip can’t lock a till
  • Every sale carries an idempotency key, so a retry can’t double-charge
  • The queue survives the app closing and the tablet restarting

Example · Saturday 11:42

The connection goes

Nothing on screen changes. There’s an indicator, and that’s it. Staff keep serving.

11:42 – 12:19

You keep selling

Modifiers, split bills, refunds, a manual card entry. All complete, all queued.

12:19

It comes back

The queue syncs. Each order applies exactly once, even if the sync retries or a second till reconnects at the same moment.

One system

Why one system instead of five subscriptions?

In SmartAI POS the counter, the kitchen screen, the customer display, stock, staff hours and the reports all come from the same data. Nothing is a bolt-on that needs reconciling at the end of the month.

  • CounterTouch grid, modifiers, variants, open items, split bills, tips
  • KitchenTickets routed to the right screen or printer by category
  • DisplayThe order as it’s rung up, plus your promo slides
  • StockEvery sale updates it; receives, vendors, recipes and COGS
  • TeamClock in and out, corrections, labour against sales
  • ReportsCOGS, labour vs sales, customer spend, emailed on a schedule

Plans

What’s on each plan?

Everything you need to take money is on both. Three things sit on Pro: features with a real per-use cost, and features only bigger operators need.

Questions

Before you book

Does it really work with the internet down?

Yes — a whole sale, start to finish. Items, modifiers, split bills, discounts, cash or card, and a receipt. It queues and syncs when you’re back. If your card terminal can’t be reached you can still take the payment manually and record it.

What happens to the orders that were queued?

They sync once. Each carries an idempotency key, so a retry — or two tills racing to reconnect — can’t produce a double charge or a duplicate order.

Will it work with my card terminal?

Terminals pair like printers, in POS Settings. <<CONFIRM which terminals are live today>>

How long does it take to switch?

<<DECISION NEEDED — the real answer. This is the number one objection and a vague answer costs the sale.>>

What do I lose on the cheaper plan?

Rostering, AI invoice scan and loyalty. Everything you need to trade — sales, refunds, kitchen screens, stock, offline, card payments — is on both. See the full comparison.

Does it do retail as well as hospitality?

Same system, set up differently depending on the business. Hospitality is where SmartAI POS is most complete today.
